Yard of the Month - Coming Soon!

MEADOW’S YARD OF THE MONTH
 
The purpose:
The Meadows at Highpointe’HOA Yard of the Month program is intended to inspire residents of the Meadows Community to take pride in the appearance and upkeep of their yards and the exterior of their quarters.
 
Evaluation standards:
The yards will be evaluated by members of the HOA Board and ACC Committee.
Every homeowner is invited to participate. See guidelines below:
 
I. Criteria
 
 
YARD MAINTENANCE
(1) Healthy lawn, neatly mowed and edged.
(2) Pruned and trimmed shrubs and trees.
(3) Healthy plants.
(4) Minimum weeds in flowerbeds.
(5) Yard free of debris and clutter.
 
DESIGN AND LANDSCAPING
(1) Use of color and/or texture
(2) Creative, unique, curb appeal
(3) Overall aesthetic appeal, an inspiration to others in the neighborhood
(4) Balance appropriate to house and lot size.
(5) All authentic plants will be considered, no plastic, silk or artificial plants.
(6) Only the front yards as viewed from the street or adjacent sidewalk will be judged. Backyards will not be considered, even if visible from the street.
 
II. Current board members and voting members of the ACC Committee are not eligible.
 
III. Judges decisions are final.
 
Incentives:
  • Each winner will have a “Yard of the Month” sign in their yard during the following calendar month.
  • Photos of Yard/Landscape placed on website and newsletter
  • A $50 gift card will be presented to each winner.
 
Length of YOM:
Yard of the Month Winners will be awarded in:
May 15th - June 14th
June 15th - July 14th
July 15th - August 14th
August 15th - September 14th
September 15th - October 14th
 
Limitations:
Yard of the Month Winners can only win once during the season. All winners must be current on their assessments and fines.
